After the last 2 stinkers from WA state, I was hoping for some redemption. Soon after I opened this bottle I wanted to crank Redemption Song by Bob Marley! Yeah! Great nose of strawberry and cherry along with a slight soy note, chalk, and a slight vegetal thang going on. On the palate; cherries, celery seed for days, lavender, blackberries, sage/dry underbrush/thyme, cedar, pepper, rare meat, and black and green olives. Nice medium weight wine with the tannins still singing a bit. The celery seed went well with the anise in the sausage from our dinner dish, and the sage/thyme went perfectly with the crimini and porcini mushrooms in the dish as well. A drink now wine. Glad to have WA state back in the hizzie!
