Not the same level of complexity as Dönnhoff‘s version of Hermannshöhle Spätlese, but nevertheless very good (and only the half price). Drunk over four days, best on day 4, will improve further, 91++.

I love this vineyard, and the Schneider spatlese from 2018 is a great example why. Layers and layers of fruit, mineral and herb - quite ripe and sweet (with 70g RS) but so elegant. This year's wine is named "Edith Elizabeth" for the grandmother that is the inspiration and the daily driving force of the winery in her youthful age of 85!
