Oak, blueberry, plum, black cherry, strawberry jam, cassis, raspberry chocolates, herbs, smoke, and earth on the nose. Tart cherry, plum, oak, red cherry, blackberry, earth, and herbs on the palate. Nice juicy acidity, grippy, still slightly chewy tannins, med-long oaky finish. Wow, this is one oaky bottle. It's delicious if you can get past the of oak (I can). I would score this higher if the wood wasn't so obvious. Still, this would be great in a steakhouse, and it's drinking surprisingly young.

Deep red color with mild bricking around the rim. Complex aromas of black cherries, dark chocolate, plum and wood spices. Ripe, fully-integrated fruit in the mouth with excellent depth and length. Very silky and full on the palate. Impressively fresh at 19 years of age.

Nose of black currants, black berry, and chocolate, same on the palate, big body, mouth filling fruit, rich tasting today, at it's peak, delicious with the pairing of meatloaf topped with sharp cheddar cheese, almost elegant, and a long, long finish and flavorful aftertaste.
