Lighter in color than I expected. Less oak than any other silver oak I have had. Lighter in body and easy to drink. Not much going on. Not much complexity but not horrible what so ever. Considering 2007 was an amazing year for California wines, they missed the boat with this one.
At Silver Oak today, lovely, rich, black cherry fruit on the nose, more of the same on the palate, lovely and rich tasting on the mid palate, has really improved the last two years, big body, and a long, silky finish.
