  With plans to taste a couple’85 Gevrey-Chambertins side by side, I pulled this one at the last minute as the Boillot wine appeared to be a flop. Mercifully this had only modest amounts of sediment and wasn’t cloudy after being stood up for only an hour or so beforehand. Slightly darker color than the Leroy; sappy, minty and intense with dark red fruit. Fruit seemed more four square than the more complex Leroy. Excellent nonetheless.
