Purchased this at the Maison du Tourisme in Pauillac back in 2008. Can't explain why I went through the trouble of bringing back such an undistinguished bottle from a difficult vintage, but I did. So now it's time to drink up and make room for some better stuff. This has a nice, fragrant nose that screams "Left Bank Bordeaux". Attractive, earthy aromas of cherries, flowers, sous bois and a bit of spice. On the palate this is medium-bodied and provides a tasty combination of black cherry, boysenberry and plum flavors. Very nicely balanced, with smooth tannins and just the right amount of acidity. The dry finish shows moderate length, along with hints of leather and mineral. Clearly well made and nice enough, but doesn't offer a whole lot in terms of depth or complexity. 50+5+11+14+7=87

Wizards Trade Tasting (Warehouse): A little stewy on the nose. Tannic. Not showing very fresh or well right now.

Sam's Wine Bordeaux Night; 2/27/2007-2/28/2007 (Chicago): The Petite Verdot makes this a little too sweet for me. Overall it's a bit shallow.
