Bordeaux blend from Sonoma, 65% Cab, 16% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot, 7% Malbec, and 2% Cab Franc. A hint of sediment.
Deep ruby color with medium minus intensity aromas of BBQ bell pepper, perfume, brown sugar, potting soil, and blackberry. The palate was in-your-face chalk tannins that go away quickly to reveal balsamic, vanilla, juicy red plum, strawberry, black fruits, bell pepper, oak & smoke.
High acidity & quick finish made for a fantastic food wine that needs 90 min to decant. 3 more years for tertiary note?

We like it.. we are agreeing (slightly higher than) the JS 93 rating, and going with 94.
Pour it and let sit for 25-30 mins. It opens VERY well!
We have become big fans of the Dry Creek brand, coming from (and still with) the likes of Jordan, Silverado and Cakebread
Try out the even lower cost Cab too - we like that one even more or the same!
