So I bought a cellar; 11/12/2022-12/31/2030: 68 cab sauv, 13 merlot, 8 Malbec, 8 petite Verdot, 3 cab franc. Nose of blue and black fruit mostly, with no tertiary aromas. Slightly hot on the palate, but well integrated tannins, nice blue and red fruit flavors, some oak, and tasty. Not a lot of structure, but a really enjoyable wine, and one made to share. Has plenty of time left.

By the glass. Interesting blend of the five Bordeaux varieties, very soft on both palate and nose. Floral aromas, white fruit and black berries. Without much complexity I have to say. On the palate it has little mineralization, tannins already tamed and that classic dry and at the same time juicy finish. Not bad at all. It has a tight aging ability.

Dinner with Steve & Lucie (At their apartment): Slo-oxed for about 30 minutes but could have benefitted from at least an hour (maybe more) in the decanter. This is a blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 8% Malbec, 8% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc. Too young and closed to fully appreciate what this Sonoma Bdx blend will ultimately offer. As the dinner progressed, so did the wine. Lots of dark red and blue/black fruits -- dark cherry, blackberry, black currants, cassis, along with spice and oak on the medium to plus palate. Has great potential but needs a couple of years in the cellar, or hours in the decanter, or both. Could easily add 2 to 4 points...

On day three a earthy gravel note to it. But in a good cab- coffee ground way.
