From memory. From the cellars of Bovio in La Morra. I was immediately taken by this wine. A vivid mouse disappeared leaving a beautiful and powerful wine in the glass dominated by yellow fruits, dough, hints of tropical fruits and with a nice minerality to it all. Great concentration and length. It had a resemblance to a great burgundy (with a touch of Hermitage). All in balance. Stunning. Mind blowing almost.

At first some bruised apples, good acidity still, and some toast with a fine mousse. This still had nice cut, and I found it very interesting, albeit a bit tired. Still with crispness and clarity. A few years ago this was quite a bit better, and this was my last blle of the aging experiment with this cuvee this vintage (the oldest vintage I had of this) and an interesting wine. I am not afraid of older bubbles, and this was a nice wine that is certainly fading. 87pts

Tiny bubles, mostly present tyactile wise rather than visually. A great yeasty nose, with some lemon curd and pears. Great BdB nose. Really wel rounded palate with excellent balance of acidity, bread, and lemons with pears and some apple notes on day 2 (a little left over for breakfast). Very fine Metodo Classico Italian.

Dranks this three liter over 2-3 hours with another couple. Yum. Over looked brand, but has great quality.
