I was looking for a white to go with the sweetness and Asian flair of a lacquered salmon (soy sauce, honey, sesame oil). It was an efficient pairing thanks to the good acidity (outbalancing a 13.5% alcohol content) and tropical fruit notes of this very good Croatian wine.
I also recommend visiting the cellar on the island of Hvar.

Croatian white wine from Dalmatia: Posip. 13,5 % alcohol.
Light golden color.
Fresh aromas of tropical fruit, honey, lemon and vanilla. Powerful flavors of pineapple, lemon and minerals.
Dry. Full body. Medium acidity. Good balance. Good structure. Some complexity.
Long finish with tropical fruits.
A remarkably good Posip and a good white wine. My guess is that this wine show the full potential of Posip. It has acidity, structure, power and some complexity. Works good with food (chicken) and on its own. A very refreshing wine. 90/100

Zivjeli! Interesting wine - crisp and acid, like an Albarino but with greater depth, similar to a good Sauvignon Blanc. This would pair wonderfully with raw Oysteers. Cheers.

Pale golden color. Nose of white peach, citrus, slightly floral. Reminded me a bit of albarino. Similar flavors on the palate with a juicy, slightly rounded mouthfeel and lots of bright citrus and stone fruit flavors. Medium acidity, could have probably used a touch more for me. For anyone looking for a white wine with a lot of fruit flavor, this certainly has that going on. Paired really nicely with some Mediterranean style baked red snapper.

Pineapple and salty fruit to the nose. Tastes a bit skin contact-y on the palate or maybe a touch of amphora. Or maybe the grape just goes for a little bit of pre-oxy taste.
