  • Normally I find wines made from Nebbiolo varietal tend to be less fruity on the palate compared to the nose. But this wine is different. Very fruity - also on the palate. Funny to taste a wine without any oak. This wine is aged in steel tanks and the result is a much more pure expression of the varietal. Because this "oak-free" wine wears no make up, it clearly proves that wines made from Nebbiolo can be light and elegant. But I somehow miss the depth and muscle power that comes with oak. Too thin...

  • The nose is aromatic and fresh with rose petals, red cherries, strawberries, spice notes, roasted herbs, and some earth notes. There is an uplifting quality to the nose, though it lacks some depth. The Medium bodied feel is balanced and fresh with tart, high acidity and youthful, high tannins. This is a lovely Langhe Nebbiolo that plays to a more feminine and fresh side. This likely could use a few years to fully come together and possibly add some depth.
