This is an outstanding wine. Beautiful golden colour and intense but complex bouquet. Initial blast of your typical German Riesling but they went quickly, followed by aromas of lemon , apples, orange peel, vanilla, white pepper, cinnamon and a hint of kerosene. Big wine on the palate. The tastes followed through from the nose. Initial sweetness but finished very dry with a beautiful acidity that left you wanting more. The aftertaste went on for ever. A world away from the German wines of old. Very Alsace in its presentation. I could certainly drink more of these.

92 Excelente vino. Amarillo intenso. Nariz mineral, piedra mojada, hidrocarburo. En boca es seco, recto, mineral. Con buen equilibrio, acidez citrica y un final largo y sabroso. Muchos años por delante.

Ostensibly first meeting of Diploma tasting group (E & M's in the rocks, Sydney): Served blind. Wild ferment, citrus; lime with a little lemon, green apple, cream. medium plus intensity acidity, tangy, slight residual sugar to offset that acidity, citrus, apple, the wild ferment note and very slight alcohol warmth. Lovely I guessed NZ in a German style. Possibly Framingham or Dry River.

On the nose, heavy petrol. Palate was clean, just hint of sweetness but otherwise bright and fruit was noticeable.

Sehr schöner, rieslinguntypischer Wein, mild, wenig Säure, mineralisch, angenehme geringe Restsuesse
