Really well made, structured blend. Syrah, cab, petit Verdot and chenin blanc. Label says 15%, it drinks like a 13% Bordeaux. Could age another 5 years, dark fruits, bramble, blackberry, good acid. A super value at this price. In France would be an $80 wine.

A trip to South Africa's Coastal Region with Reni, Rainer and Bert. Day 9, Klein River Valley and Stellenbosch. Tasted at the winery, with hospitable owner and winemaker Nick Gebers.
A blend of Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% of Chenin Blanc. Good red and dark fruit, some black tea, chocolate and spices, with good, fresh acidity, well-integrated tannin and superb length. The full-bodied, well structured, well-balanced wine had good concentration and complexity. One of my three favourite wines in this lineup, together with the Pinotage-based Missing Virgin 2014 and 2017.
