  The wine was dark ruby in colour and offered black currant, dark cherry, blackberry, plum, chocolate, spices, black pepper, tobacco and smoke on the nose. On the palate the wine showed black currant, dark cherry, blackberry, plum, chocolate, coffee, spices, black pepper, cinnamon, tobacco, tea and smoke, complemented by a weird vegetal and herbal eucalyptus note on the finish, with lively, medium-plus acidity, medium-plus tannin and superb length. The full-bodied, reasonably balanced wine had good concentration and complexity and should continue to drink well for many years. Good value.
