Got to put that one here, NV but 2012 base with reserve wines...
Very intriguing, it has been a while since I had it ... Reveals nose of long lees aging, but not really brioche nor pastry, more just like vinosity, strong pinot and meunier influence... with deep honey, beeswax flowery scent...
palate is dry, very dry and that's what is surprising here given the nose venosity, one would expect a strong powerful and deep sort of "tannic" palate... all the opposite, it stands like a nature chardonnay, sharp and tight ! really good and long btw...
I now understand why most drinkers do not understand those wines at all ! You really need to get used to them and then it's like an old acquaintance you haven't met in a long time but feels very familiar and comfortable in the end... although a bit awkward first, once you remember why you got along it just flows :)

Super lean and citrusy. Hard to believe this is pinot. The fruit seems like good quality. It's almost too intense acid and mineral at this point - I wish there was a touch more generosity. 91+

Lovely aromas of apple skin and citrus that are encased in brioche which leads to a crisp, focused, citrus driven palate that tingles.
