  • Blanco supplied for dinner last nite at Emilios. Funny that I just drank a bottle of this wine myself very recently, and my notes are very consistent. Tight nose of red cherries and leather. Fruit hardly on first tasting but, as the wine opened, some red fruit appeared. Regardless, tertiary elements are dominant here: smoke, spice, leather and black pepper. The wine at first glance is quite tight, with dry tannins that make the wine seem closed, but there's enough going on here to make this a pleasant, if otherwise nondescript pour. Drink up!

  • Drank from coravin tonite. It's been a while, but I've had this burg before. Tight nose of red cherries and leather. Still some red fruit here, but tertiary elements are predominant: smoke, spice, leather and black pepper. Palate still a bit on the tight side, and maybe its the remaining somewhat dry tannins that make the wine appear to a bit closed, but there's enough going on here to make this a pleasant, and certainly a very interesting pour. I'd drink now as I believe the fruit is going thru a long, slow fade...
Finished bottle one night later. No change. Enjoyed this wine.

  • Drank last nite with the Goldsteins at Pieros. No decant. Nose of black cherries and spice. Overall nicely fragrant distinguished PN nose. Still good fruit level here. Mostly black cherries, along with copious amount of pepper and spice. Good earthy minerality. Medium bodied, decent length. Drinking nicely. Perhaps a bit short, and fruit ever-so-slightly faded.

  • Deep red colour.
Deeply fruity, dark cherries, plum, blueberry lift, gorgeous.
Dense, rich, fleshy, perfectly balanced, dark fruits dominate, black cherry and plum, some blueberry jam, sherbet zest. Not a typical chambolle. Lovely drinking though.

  • Slow rolling this one, 3 hours open, and an hour in the glass, the aromas begin to build from a tightly bound bundle of smoky cherry, spice, and leather. Minerality, acidity, pepper, and energy release with effort. Bright, medium bodied, nice length, mouth-watering finish. The fruit is in a supporting actor role for now. Hold for another 3-5 years and see whether this promising wine can push through.
