medium straw color, pale watery rim, medium tearing; subtle aromatics, lemon, lime, butterscotch candy, no significant new oak; lemon, nice minerality; medium body, good acidity; sourced from cool vineyard site leased by Kurt Beiler on a wooded bluff about 5.3 miles from Pacific and planted to old Wente clone, small crop, drought year; whole cluster pressed, fermented in seasoned French oak barrels, minimal lees stirring every 2-3 weeks, complete malolactic fermentation; a lovely if somewhat delicate Chardonnay; $49

Tangerine to start, finishes with some orange rind. Ripe and deep. Bold and restrained, not overdone.

Yeasty, broad & wide. Bit of lime. Good long finish. Mineral with some soft oak. Very nice. Has a natural winemaking profile. A very interesting wine.
