Opened this 2004 the other night at Morton's with a bone in rib eye steak. The wine aged perfectly and had a really nice, subtle balance of earth, fruit, tannins and went great with the steak.

Even after 6+ years in the bottle the wine was a beautiful garnet color with attractive aromas of dark fruit and damp earth on the nose. The tannins had fully integrated making for a smooth, medium- length finish. For under $21 retail - this wine aged well and delivered a very nice drinking experience.

On its way down, but still at a nice point of maturity. On nose and palate there's well-integrated nutty oak, and chalky mineral combines with a waxy flavor to create a crayon component, then more distant black cherry and herbal flavors. Declines slightly with air; drink now and don't decant.

Really pretty nose of sweet cream, red fruits and vanilla oak. Palate is a bit astringent on the finish but its got good firm tannins, plenty of fruit and drinks easy.

Cellartracker Over the Hill and In the Woods Party (Judith's House): Very dark red color. This was unbalanced and harsh on the palate with prominent alcohol, spice, oak and hash tannins. Black fruits, but they are overwhelmed.
