Light amber to burnt orange in colour. The nose is immediately burnt caramel and burnt orange peel. Salted caramel, sweet espresso coffee, slight vanilla, and orange citrus. The palate is in amazing shape with a huge punch of orange citrus up front, big body and structure still. Plenty of staying power and long finish. No short metallic notes here. Fresh. Dried peaches. Alive.

Ten Days in Burgundy, Champagne, and Paris; 6/24/2016-7/6/2016: Very oxidative but very flavourful. Wheats and citrus, nearly beer-like. Nice richness too. Full body with some effervescence hanging on. Good drinking. Found at one of the shops in Beaune for 150€.

I had this wine from a magnum, perfectly stored at Moët & Chandon for more than 45 years.
This is as good as it gets. An amazing Champagne! Coffee and chocolate toffee on the nose, creamy in the mouth, fresh mousse and very nice acidity. What a wine!

Krug 1964 was a fun champagne to taste, but it was the weakest link of in a trio of 64's. 1964 Moet from magnum was good, but not the lights out mag had last year. And both were obliterated by a great bottle of 64 DP.

Disgorged '94. Still remarkably fresh with a fully mature nose and mouthfeel.
