Drinking well still. Quite aromatic, blackberry and violets. Plenty of bright blackberry fruit, bits of herbs, really lively acidity, still some smooth tannins. Bit more aged, smoke and dried meats. Remains enjoyable and really interesting.

Didn’t find the balance. Pnp, decanted 1 hour or left in the bottle for 2 hours. The wine didn’t impress. Bretty in the beginning , it opens up with red fruits, spice and animalistic note, but the the tannins are very grippy and acidity is not compensated. When the fruit fades wine is getting flat with vegetable notes. Much weaker and less interesting then Pato’s Quinta de Moinho(also Baga 100%) that I liked.

ESTG pandemic breaker: Wow, what a seriously cool wine. Great, WILD nose, feral, furry, lots of animal to this. The palate on the other hand is more cool, dark, sleek, more Burgundian than Rhone-ish. Fascinating wine!

Drinking beautifully. Quite aromatic, blackberry and violets. Plenty of bright blackberry fruit, bits of herbs, really lively acidity, still some smooth tannins. Great balance. Very interesting mouthful, plenty of life in it still.

Needs some air.. First smell was not nice, coming back an hour later the wine has opened up nicely showing lots of red fruit, eucalyptus, mint, licorice root, leather, earth. A fair amount of brett, which is noticeable but is balanced out well enough.
