Last bottle was finally good (other 4 were disappointing). Mostly used this to make stew but what was left drank well with dinner. Nothing memorable but complemented the hearty beef stew.
Made from an Oakville based winery, but with a "California" appellation, this wine is very good. At first on immediate opening, a hit of tannins. Then with about an hour, smooths out to e a great value wine with great fruit and complexity throughout. At $24, a good value.

Having been patiently waiting for improvement. Down to 5 bottles out of a case and still disappointed. Muddled red blend, meh.

Still a mediocre bottle of wine. 3 of 5 consumed with no improvement. Mostly for cooking purposes.
