  • The Corton tonight was floral with minerals, cherry, candied fruit, asian spice and herbs. Palate was smooth, delicate and silky with stony red cherry and candied fruit. The finish was mouth coating and long. If it was served blind to me, I would have guessed a very good Marquis D’Angerville prem cru from a soft vintage like 00 or 07. I always find that a soft vintage suits Cote de Beaune’s terroir very much. This bottle was simply singing tonight. 92++

  • Wow, wow, wow, what a terrific bottle of Burgundy. Still young and precise and yet with soaring aromatics of pomegranate, stinky mineral (some sulphur but much more), and a cool and smokey aspect. Texturally this is just on point with such precision and beauty. At once laser focused and yet so lithe and supple. With a nice piece of black cod and a caramelized fennel and black truffle risotto, wow WHAT a terrific match. Yum, really pleased.

  • Pleasant burgundy ready to drink. But I was a bit disappointed. This did not taste like the grand cru pedigree it has. I expected better from Pousse d'Or
