Interesting Cabernet from Chile - brilliant red garnet makes me think there is more than a little Cab Franc in this wine. Had a hard time figuring the wine out, definitely some tight flavors, but i don't think age will help as the wine is starting to thin out a little. A nice blend of oak, blackberry and vanilla finish this interesting wine.

Tasted blind at Sommelier tasting - clear pale red core of moderate intensity with a pink edge and thin watery rim - youthful. Clean sweet candied nose, some earth, warm cherry and green herbs of moderate intensity. Dry with soft tannins that are moderate to full, mod+ acid, mod body and moderate alcohol. Highly astringent - is this a young Bordeaux? Later - flavours of cherry come through stronger. The finish is moderate to long with cherry, green pepper and herbal notes. Young wine - well balanced but where will it go? The astringency concerns me. Definitely needs time. Drink now and for the next 5 years but with protein - this is not a backyard sipper.

Deep dark opaque core leads out to a thin ruby rim. Wine looks very concentrated and youthful. The nose is clean with bright fig, plum and blackberry that jump from the glass. Delicate cedar coconut and spice round out the fruit. The palate is dry, with medium-high acid, moderate fruit intensity of gardenberrys, cranberry and plum. Mint, tobacco and pencil shavings follow the fruit and leave a long lengthy finish. Big bold tannins, full bodied. high alc. Balanced. Good quality. Drink now - 3 years.
