Tempranillo but not 100%, a tiny percentage of cab franc was added for a little herb and merlot was brought in to smooth out the midpalate. As well, some American oak was used for a Rioja-like authenticity. Usual suspects here: red fruit, tea, orange rind, spice cake. Loved it, brought a few home for the cellar.

Decent food wine, goes well with a variety of spicy foods that have no obvious wine pairing. But not a particularly drink-by-itself wine.

Very light, low in alcohol. A perfect summer wine on a hot evening. Drinking well now.

Pretty ungiving initially, took about two hours to fully open up--to the extent it did. Sturdy wine with gruff tannins. Needs time.

Very good. Better than their cab.
