  • 0.375 L bottle late Jan 2024 at a restaurant: dark crimson red color; red berries and cherries in the nose; polished texture on the palate; low acidity; surprisingly full body. 88-89/100

  • PNP fairly open.

Nose is ripe red fruit, brown sugar, sweet tobacco.

Ripe, lush red fruit up front on the palate. Complimented by the dried red fruit, herbal notes, and some oak notes. Nice structure and medium plus acidity.

Somewhat simplistic right now with the red fruit notes dominating everything else, but plenty of stuffing for further development.

Day 2: The fruit has receded as expected and the herbal notes are more in the forefront. Unfortunately the wood notes are much harsher today. Finish is bitter.

More a new world profile, which may just be a product of the warmer vintage. Think this could be good after the oak notes integrate.
