  • Medium ruby. Unique nose of mud, dirt, earth and smoke; dried flowers and blackberry. Palate of cherry, ripe tannins, seems lower alc, med acidity, med tannins, med body although lithe.

  • Definitely unusual. A lot of rustic notes on the nose and palate. Just the right side of acceptable. Acidity keeps it refreshing and some interesting mineral notes with enough fruit to balance.

Good to try, but I'm not sure I would buy again.

  • Funky. Very funky, even with decanting and waiting a day. Fresh black peppercorn and freshly cleaned men’s public restroom (i.e. urinal cakes and faint smell of poo). It retreated to a more barn/loam profile as time went on, but one thing that remained was a bizarre mouthful of bugles on the finish. A very weird wine with a very savory flavor profile - I have no idea where the great reviews are coming from.

  • Quite smoky and stinky on day one. Much better on day two. Aromas of sea muck, cranberry, raspberry, sour cherry, divers herbs, flowers, cracked pepper, charred veggies... Tart and fresh on the palate, equal parts crunchy red fruit and smoky minerals, plenty of botanical nuance as well. A little grapey on the finish, lots of mineral character too, pure and refreshing overall. I would be wary of the smoky and stinky elements intensifying, and would drink this up soon.

  • Robe grenat, brillante.
