Initially, this was way too cold to get a grasp on and the darker color worried people at first. Not only did this blossom with air time, the color appeared to have gotten more pale? Either way, this showed lovely mature dried apricot/melon type fruit with caramel and creme brulee/vanilla notes taking form. Rich, supple and balanced with no sharp edges to the acidity. Definitely a more elegant rendition of Morgeot. When this opened up to room temperature (or close) everybody loved this!

Rich and brothy, almost a cured-meat flavor profile with a floral topnote, but entirely dry - a huge amount of dry extract front to back, and a mineral kick on the finish. Not entirely classical although still correct La Romanee, which you could serve alone, with fancy food, or with a plate of cheese and/or charcuterie. Impressive.

Birthday Dinner (Yusho - Chicago IL): Very fresh and energetic. Good apple and pear coming through on nose and palate. Moderate length and finesse. Good now.

Very fine. Powerful, savoury good acidity. Still quite closed at the moment and not giving a lot up, but you can see this will be very good.
