  • Just opened this bottle on 4/18/19. Twenty years old. It was very good. Wish I had several more bottles. My family loved it. One of the best wines we've had in the last few months.
The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry and black currant (cassis). It tastes like black pepper, blackberry, black currant (cassis) and apple. The body is medium. The wine has polished texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

  • Plum, berry, and a touch of smoke and earth. Still holding in there -- smooth, fine tannins and well balanced. Enjoyed with baked trout, very enjoyable.

  • PnP. My experience was very similar to noleash's, the wine showed very well. Medium bodied, fully resolved tannins and a nose that delivers soft, feminine red and black fruits and flowers. A hint of brett is welcome. Acquired for $10 at auction and very pleased with that investment. Drink thru 2013.

  • Not sure what the other reviewers were drinking, but this wine is definitely not faded - we've stored it in ideal conditions and it is drinking very nicely right now. Plenty of plum, cherry, smoke and earth flavors. Elegant structure, medium bodied. Enjoyed with burgers on the grill.

  • Has completely faded. Real rough around the edges in the mouth. Color is washed out and nose is unappealing. Although this is the last of the vintage for me this could be an off bottle hard to say. The others were pretty stellar.
