After an hour in the decanter this is a vibrant as it was when I popped the cork though the eucalyptus I first smelled has blown off, leaving bright blue and dark fruit on the nose.
Really interesting profile; there's a hint of green, and while this feels watery/thin on the palate theres still a polish and lingering finish deep back-palate. Really nice expression of the varietal, I'm glad I still have one more left. Probably at its peak, I'll be cautious to what extent I decant my remaining bottle, which I'll drink within the next two years.

Followed over another 2 hrs, after an initial 90 mins in the decanter. While this was fine right off the bat, time allowed the wine to open up and gain complexity, which developed further during the two hour drinking window.
No detailed notes after-the-fact, but enjoyable as always, no rush to consume

While this is still in its youth, as a pop and pour today this comes across as more Cabernet and less Franc. Stylistically this is like a CF from Foleys Pride years. Dark, black fruit is pitted against tame but still youthful tannins showing oaky notes.
Wood has a medium + toast, w vanilla. 2 hrs after opening the nose is muted, but black fruit, tobacco, tanned leather flavors prevail. This still has several years to hit its peak but is certainly enjoyable now
