Nice perfume! Smells of cherry, sandlewood. Medium body, some sweetness to the strawberry cherry fruit or is it oak? This is a very pretty and approachable wine and would be more refreshing and crushable if it had more acid. Perhaps my favorite of the Spearhead vineyard designated PNs.

Med red to pink, not bright. Nose of tart, red cherry and a note of caramel..PALATE: sweet red cherry and strawberry fruit. Finishing with a mineral tang.

2018 SpearHead Pinot Noir Coyote Vineyard (Okanagan) Pale garnet with oily legs (usually not a bad thing!). Complex aroma of strawberry, raspberry, cinnamon and red licorice with just a whiff of herbs. More fruity than earthy. Big flavours of cherry, pomegranate, rose hip plus a dash of clove. Soft well integrated tannins add to the sustained taste. Overall an elegant complex medium weight wine with just a smidge more acid than I prefer. Likely at its peak in 2 to 3 years.

Spearhead Winery, Okanagan Pinot Noir Vertical and Horizontal; 9/23/2022-9/24/2022 (Calgary, Alberta): Medium red. Floral, light red fruit. In the mouth it is light body, red currant, dances in the mouth, Marijuana. Not so complex. Next day: there is tension, red fruit, nice aromatics, a little bitter on the finish, quite interesting.
