copper colored. Sour cherry nose, a bit of funk. Sour orange and sour cherry, a little bit of red fruit, acid clinging to the end of the tongue. Definitely interesting, not for drinking alone.

Drunk alongside a 2010 Gravner Ribolla. EYE: 20 y.o. penny. No haze. NOSE: pungent with walnut jam, apricot, Sercial, muskmelon, and black pepper. No VA. MOUTH: immediately active. A busy contest of tannins, fruit, mineral, and cured flavors of elevage–spice, nuts, pressed sage, crispy game fowl. Burly, aristocratic structure. It’s punchy rather than explosive. Ashy grit keeps it strictly dry while sweet-sour nectarines and apricots pressure wave fronts of intense black and brown spice. There’s a deep, sour resin in its heart. Truffles and chocolate tease from stressed fabrics made of crisped pheasant. Incredible grip. Long, sour apricot glaze finish. Memories of Ageno and Pisador. This is an event. 97 points. TIME & MOUSE: overnight it developed a bit of mousey peanut flavor. In this condition I found it very good to drink, with ambiguity: 92? points with caution.
