Christmas dinner wine, and fared reasonably well against ham. Nice cherry on both the nose and palate. Decent acidity. Good characteristic Pinot profile, but lacked persistence. There's a moment on the palate where you think (and hope) that it's just going to take off and soar, but it drops off instead and feels a little empty. On the very last swallows of the second night it seemed to overcome that and pick up some power, so maybe it just needed more time.

Consistent with prior notes. Lush red fruit and intruiging spices. Very long, satiny finish. Now nicely integrated and absolutely singing. Very enjoyable on a warm summer night.

Another superb showing for this wine. Nose of dark cherry, raspberry, strawberry, earth, and baking spice. On the palate, dark cherry, raspberry, and pie crust. Long finish. Alcohol is integrating. Very good.

Opened not decanted. Purchased off the list at Left Bank in Larkspur. Lots of spice on the nose; starts out with some heat and tight fruit; opens nicely to reveal cherry, spice, cinnamon, clove with a touch of smoke. A really juicy and scrumptious wine with a dry finish. Paired with a hanger steak. Very Good.

JOJ's note is dead on, although I find the acidity largely in line with the 05 Pinots I have drank recently. At the price, this is an excellent bottle.
