  • Was this bottle stored bad or is this wine already to old. I think it was not too old.

    Vom Winetrader-Clgn erworben.

  • This drink of Keller's 2019 Grüner Silvaner strongly resembles the description provided by Gerhard3 only a few weeks ago (q.v.) Gone is the startling acid-play that it shared on release back in 2020, leaving adhesive weight. Now, 24 hours after it unsealed, this bottle relaxes into a lush and transparent texture of marc Domfrontais and chalk. There's a vibrant, sincere little music coming from its heart, limited only by its own echo in a steel basin. It's a very good wine, and nothing was gained by aging it.

  • At first, very shy and vaguely appley. Later, an interesting anise note appears. In the mouth, juicy, good volume, vivid and well-integrated acidity, good length.

  • Arom : Cyckeldäck, päron och berg. Gröna äpplen och stark citrus, mineral. Spritsigt. Bra balans och längd. Ett överraskande ocj härligt grönäppligt slut.

  • Apples, pears, vague citrus, dried grass, a little nutty, a touch of white flowers too. Loads of cut from the very prominent acids, it rips and tears at the palate. To continue the analogy, this would not be a finely honed edge, but rather an excellent serrated job. Plenty of juicy fruit to keep it fun, plenty of floral, herbal, vegetal, earthy stuff too, there's a silkiness to the midpalate before it turns to the zesty finish. I don't know Silvaner well. Why not? This is really good.
