  From glass. Still pretty dark. Nose of sharp dark fruit, somewhat closed. Similar palate, also leathery, but terrific flushness, breadth, and also freshness. Acidity and tannin in balance, high alcohol not noticeable at all. Not a heavy wine - a large wine. Almost ready (maybe?), but not too early, either.

  This continues to improve and probably is at its best. Its evolution over the years has been interesting. Dark, sweet - noting the high alcohol content - dark fruits, soft tannins and balanced acidity.

  Heavily extracted, dark , powerful wine. Alcoholic but well balanced fruit and acidity. Much more interesting than my last bottle.

  Ha! Gelernt! Ich habe den Wein am Vortag geöffnet, vom Depot getrennt und im kalten Keller stehen gelassen...

  DAS ist Barbera in Höchstform, schwarzbeerig, süssfruchtigen, Honig, Teer... Einfach wirklich beeindruckend!
