  • Fantastic minerality and crisp citrus. Beautifully concentrated and drinking quite well at this point, but given the green and primary layout of the wine we predict that it might improve still with a few years in the cellar.

  • White. Quite green nose w. kiwi and lime. High acidity, lime and lemon, quite dense. A bit unripe flavour w. stony minerality. Probably has a long life ahead of it but at this stage it is simply too green.

  • Easily making any night of the week into a special night, this wine was absolutely fantastic. The more that I drink Silvaner, the more I am falling in love with it. This is a world class wine that could honestly walk shoulder to shoulder with just about any white wine in the world. Layered, complex, and incredibly delicious.
Lifted aromatics of orange blossoms, sweet herbs, and apple skin led the way as notes of beeswax emerged with air.
The palate was mineral with mouthwatering salinity, notes of Meyer lemon gave an inner sweetness to the fruit while layers of candied nuts added to the tapestry of palate driven beauty.
Without question, this wine (and winemaker) is one of THE standard bearers leading the #silvanerrevolution . I need more wines like this in my life.

  • Minty herbs, gravel, orange peel, green apple skin, lilac, and lemon blossom on the nose. While more herbaceous on the nose, there is more citrus on the palate with tangerine peel and grapefruit. There is a slight nutty quality, like an almond skin or chestnut note, that is subtle on the nose and reappears on the finish. The wine is elegant, pure, and full of energy. This was just delightful.

  • One of the first days sitting on the terraces near by the viking Danevirke in northern Germany found this young lonely bottle in a fridge,
    pnp immediately,
great fragrance emerges, first of zesty citrus, then herbal, blossoming flowered may aromas, more white fruit,
on the palate great persistence, tight, the stunning acid frame giving great freshness, white peach, herbs somehow like I have found before in some white Rioja Reservas or C9dP, great balance and finesse like flow, salty mineral like a high class Riesling, lingering, very convincing finish,
great to enjoy this one that young again, but will surely gain complexity by further cellaring,
    **(**+?), around 92, 93+ potential
