Served by the glass. Mineral, thin, fresh and with some distinction. Still closed but promising. It has a classic profile that will flourish in five more years. Not bad for what it's.
Servido por copas. Mineral, delgado, fresco y con algo de distinción. Aún cerrado pero prometedor. Tiene un perfil clásico que florecerá en cinco años más. Nada mal para lo que vale.

Well that smells and tastes great. On teh escarpment below Saint Emilion proper, so its all limestone. Ripe black fruit but very well held. 18 - 20 months in used (?) oak. Darn, that one is right in the pocket. Man, that is darn tasty.

I note the difference in opinion from previous reviews. This one struck us as a typical good claret. Now 9 years old and just about peaking. A bit more candied sweetness than most but not overdone. Went nicely with some lamb shanks.

On day two evolved, but in a delightful way, really opened up over the course of yesterday - all the funk blew off and what emerged was a great Saint Emilion. So decant certainly.
