  • Moderately intense aromas of lemon, meyer lemon, candied lemon peel, smoke, thyme. Dry, with elevated levels of tingly acidity, medium-bodied, but leaner than many Soaves, 12°. Saline finish.

  • 100% Garganega from volcanic soils in Monforte d'Alpone, Soave Classico. 12% alcohol.

Quite youthful, pale yellow color. Open, expressive and somewhat primary nose with aromas that remind me a bit of young Riesling: notes of ripe peach or mirabelle plums, some lemon marmalade, light apple notes, a little bit of hay, light sappy herbal tones and a hint of honeyed sweetness. The wine is medium-bodied, fresh and crunchy on the palate with flavors of tangy green apple, some ripe peach, light sappy notes of herbal spice, a little bit of saline minerality and a primary hint of marmaladey fruit candies. The high acidity lends good sense of balance to the wine. The finish is quite long, fresh and rather acid-driven with bright flavors of ripe golden apple and juicy citrus fruit notes, some honeyed notes, a little bit of herbal bitterness, light fruity nuances of ripe peach or mirabelle plum, a hint of steely minerality and a fragrant touch of floral character.

A clean, balanced and delicious Soave Classico. Perhaps not the most complex or distinctive effort, but a harmonious and well-made white wine all the same. Still quite primary in style, I could see this wine actually benefiting from a year or two of additional aging. Although the screw cap will guarantee this wine will keep just fine for many more years, I'm not sure if the wine is really built for prolonged aging - this is more a simple everyday white than anything truly cellarworthy, even if the wine could actually improve for a small handful of years in a cellar. All in all, a very nice effort and worth its price at 15,98€.

  • PnP. Light>Med hay color, clear, bright. Aromas of peach skin, yellow apple, good soil/place/mineral notes, white and yellow flowers. Nearly medium bodied on the palate with a gentle mid-palate; avg finish and length. A great value as always; solid food wine. Now or the next few years. recommended+

  • Quality wine. Soft flavors of peach, pear, green apple, Brazil nut, and lime. On the fresh and steely side of the white wine spectrum, but closer to the middle than the end. Can be drunk without food. Decent intensity.

  • This one seemed a little one-note, not too much to recommend it. Enjoyed it more on the second night but no need to buy again.
