Fresh aromas of crushed raspberry and herbs, slightly floral. Somewhat tart cherry body with dusty tannins and dried herbs. Some vanilla oakiness in a medium length finish. Paired very well with tonight's boeuf bourguignon.

Found this 2017 Creation Grosset Cairanne at Costco in 2023.
Not quite as perfumey and layered as the 2019 I tried last year. Still a good fruit forward, lush and velvety, deep red Rhone for comfy weeknights at home.
Opens up nicely after a few hours and still very good on day 2.

Sharp and acidic on the nose and the palette, first reaction is an unpleasant shiver. Floral notes, almost perfumed, black pepper, arugula, and overripe berry.

Light-medium red color. Drank a pour from the wine pairings at Meritage. It's ok, but not something I'm thrilled with. Strawberry, rather herbaceous, cherry, lighter body, anise.
