From a magnum and ridiculously good. Delicate but vivid with red fruit (cherry this time), minerality and acid. So, so good with the pre dinner pate. Greenblanket will treasure his last few bottles.

Wow! This was a surprise. Lovely delicate raspberry and mildly sour cherry in the nose and in the bought. Light and delicate with a persistence on the palate that was simply superb. It was better immediately on opening than it was a couple of hours later, but it was still a great pleasure. I last had this 5 years ago and thought it "only ok." Not the case now. If you have this, try one now.

The raspberry fruit may not be as vivid as it was three or four years ago but it may be a more completive and satisfying match with the still present and vibrant minerality and acidity. Greenblanket is thinking that our Seattle importer (sadly, now out of business) was right on in his prediction that this wine was good for ten to twenty years. Better on night two and just amazing with the za'atar lavash and Lebanese salsa.

(Domaine Lapandéry Côte Roannaise Vieilles Vignes Réserve) Medium garnet color; tart dried red fruit and vaguely savory nose; subtle and complex tart cranberry, plum and dried cherry, dried cranberry and herbal palate with deeper notes and good acidity, minerality and touch of sage; medium-plus finish

Last bottle and delicious again. Light with detailed red fruit, mineral, pleasing acidity. I could cry.

Light in body, intensely mineral, gained weight on day two.
