Very pale ruby, pronounced floral fruity nose with dried rose and tea. Lithe on the palate with gentle tannins for a nebbiolo. Crystalline precision — raspberry, rose, amaro. Excellent and characteristic Valtellina.

IWS Rest of Northern Italy tasting (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. A little ashy note, dried orange peel but, equally, an impression of lightness, red fruit with an almost peppery spicy underpin and a smidge of confected rhubarb note as well. in the mouth it has medium plus intensity acidity, red fruit tea, textured, drying tannins, a sense of wetness, those tannis persist with the fruit, a little alcohol warmth on the finish. Okay.
