Super oxidative, nose of a Sauternes, not pleasing to me at all. Tried to consume over three nights, with plenty of air. No significant change. I had other white Jurathat I have enjoyed, not this one though.

All aromas & characteristics of ‘Vin jaune’ in this wine: walnut, strong acidity, curry, oxidative notes.. this is the best pairing one can make with a cheese meal (think fondue, Mont d’or or raclette) 🤩

A private dinner (Café Parlotte, Amsterdam, NL): Classic Savagnin. Oxidative and minerally, deep but fresh, big power and energy, candied fruit, white nuts, weighty but energetic, firmly structured, velvety bitters, salty and long.

I am still introducing myself to the wines of Jura. Wow, this is good. Medium golden color. Notes of ripe stone fruit, apricot, some almonds, nutty oxidative notes, some peat, also some salty minerality. It's medium-full bodied, has medium-high acidity providing nice freshness and tension. The alcohol seems integrated, but recognizable. Long finish. A beautiful Cotes du Jura from this excellent producer. Really nice.

Complex, rich, oxidative, but with some nice fruit and acidity. Spicy and a little alcohol-heavy. Golden and deep. A wine to ponder. Or pair it with more food than you would think, cheese, but also creambased dished or seafood. 89-90
