This was brought to a party. Cherry on the nose; cherry, blackberry, and notes of vanilla oak and plum on the medium finish, with moderate tannins and strong acidity. It's not as distinctive as more expensive labels, but it's classic Rioja with enough character to make it interesting.

Quite good, if a little by the numbers. American oak up front with vanilla and coconut, with bright blackberry in the background. Moderate tannin and finish. Very good for $20.

Needed ~3 hours to be drinkable, after some air was a solid, pretty straight down the middle Rioja. Not bad, for $20 a solid drink, the 93s I’m seeing here seem insane personally for a wine that lacks any notable characteristics.

Great QPR. Still robust. Drank it right after 2020 California Cab that was big and this stood up to it. I’ll get more and let it age 3-4 years.
