  Mooie balans, rijke aroma's. Paars van kleur met licht randje. In de mond sappig en toch stoer. Zwart fruit, pruimen en bessen, ceder, beetje grafiet, tropisch accentje van mango. Elegant en smakelijk met vanille, noten en vleesjus. Prettige zuren en tannines

  Decant in glass for 2+ hours. Inky purple with dark garnet edge in color. Muted nose of kirsch, black currant & gorgonzola. NOTE: drank over two days and it was still in the process of opening on day two. On the palate: black currants, dark cherry and wood spice. Dry, dusty tannins perceived on cheeks, gums and tongue. Long finish of dark fruit and wood spice. This needed more time in the cellar...maybe even a decade.

  I spent 7 beautiful , interesting and active days in Krakow. I drank a lot of wine...
  First wine at home. And it's lovely with a crazy Spanish price - 14€ for a 2016 Reserva. Strong aromas, strong taste, balance, structure, long finish. What else do we need?
  I think - less sweet black fruits and more vivid red fruits.
  Anyway... Smell - plum, black cherry, red cherry, minerals, milk chocolate, oak, leather and tobacco.
  The taste is full of black and red fruits and even blueberries are here. But what is the most important acidity and tannins are in full, positive of course, play. Especially in a long spicy finish.
  LAN name is an acronym of each of the provinces it straddles: Logroño (the capital of Rioja and the region's name until 1980), Álava and Navarra.

  Tempranillo 95% y Mazuelo 5% con una crianza de 20 meses en barricas mixtas hechas con roble americano en las duelas y francés en los fondos. Alc. 13.5% vol. En copa la madera es apreciable, aportando notas de vainilla, coco, toffee, chocolate, torrefactos, aunque la buena fruta madura también está ahí y no se deja opacar. Un Reserva muy agradable, con buena expresividad aromática, estructura media+ y paladar armonioso.
