The Vinous review is pretty spot on for this still very young Rutherford Cabernet. First try for this vintage in April 2024. Lots of upside here, but it's no fruit bomb for sure. Melka was nowhere near the winery when this was made... New leather and dark fruit and chocolate. Very restrained oak with a touch of spice and vanilla. I highly recommend if you can catch a 50% off sale direct from Inglenook. Drink now with a healthy decant or wait for even more complexity.

Needs just a bit of air at first, but 30+ minutes post-decant, it's really starting to show well. Dark, brooding fruits as well as coffee grounds and fertile soil dominate the nose along side some charred oak. Med-Ful-bodied, this has an excellent, fine-grained tannic structure with more coffee grounds, non-descript dark fruits and a lovely, saline finish. Excellent now, this should last another 9-10 years, but I'm not sure if it will evolve further or improve much with age. While delicious this lacks the complexity nore the depth of fruit I enjoy in the best Napa Cabs. Drink now-2033 92

After an hour in decanter: Beautiful nose of ripe mullberries, black cherries and wild blueberries as well as blackberry cobbler, spring flowers, coffee bean, a bit of French oak and lavender. Full-bodied, this is round and plush on the palate with loads of sweet, ripe black fruits, oak spice, chocolate and espresso bean. Excellent now, this should drink well to age 12-15. 93
After 3 hours: This is very plush and lush and many will love, but I prefer my Cabs a bit more chiseled and tannic. I suspect this should be drunk on the low side of my estimate. 93 4 hours: Quite delicious. The longer this sits, the more the tannins are showing, but it's still so lovely and upfront. Drink now- 2030+ 93

Dark and brooding nose of coffee grounds, black fruits, bay leaf and smoky oak. Full-bodied, this is dense with copious tannins and a drapery of black currant, black cherry, tomato leaf and liquid rocks. The tannin is still a bit rugged at this stage, but it's drinking well. Drink now-2033 92

Deep ruby color with slow legs. New oak, cassis and blackberry on the nose. Plum, burnt toast and tea on the nose. Long leathery finish.
