Weird to see an "entry level" sort of wine, made in a complex style, but this is it. The fruit is pretty assertive, albeit pretty simple, with a big burst of yellow apple, with maybe some slight green apple notes straight out of the bottle. This is all about secondary flavors with an entire holiday season worth of baking spice, big autolytic notes that bounce between Brioche and sourdough, maybe a touch of nuttiness and a nice wet stone note to keep it grounded. The fruit has a very round profile, which is an excellent foil for the sharp acidity. Not a style for everyone, but really solid within the style.
Does this have the complexity or nuance of the best examples of Sous Voile Savignin? No. But this delivers a lot of wine is a $25 package. The straight forward labeling is also refreshing for a Jura wine, with no need for deep dive research to figure out the grapes and style... yes, I'm looking at you Ganevat.

Savagnin is an interesting grape with unusual white wine flavors. This Jura wine was crisp, had good acidity and apple notes. It was pretty simple though and did not show anything new over the course of 2 days. I've had an arbois-pupillin savagnin which was much better. Too bad I can't find that one for sale anywhere.
