I’ve had this producer’s romorantin wines on multiple occasions and have been impressed every time. It tastes like a noble grape with its rich quince and palm sugar flavors and its acidic balance.

Clear notes of apples, white peach and pineapple, orange skin, cream, with great salinity and wet rocks. Spicy and big in the mouth. The 14,5° of alcohol is so much well integrated with a round and unctuous body and high acidity.

Not even sure why I’m not scoring this higher. Like a premier cru or better burgundy in a great year. This is a wow wait what(?) wine. Buy a case. Fool your snobbiest friends. Your geek buddies will say hell yes. Balanced. Nose like yeah: fresh fruit and dense dried apricot and apple spice thing going on. Nutmeggy zone spices on nose too. Pear and pie spice without too much dough (or none). Acid rocks. This wine just rocks. Taking too long to edit this and realizing just how long that “I just ate pie” taste lingers. Holy cow, y’all. Great now but I wouldn’t go more than two more years.

Delicious wine. Comes off as sweet but I’m assuming that is just really ripe fruit considering the high alcohol content. The alcohol is totally integrated and does not come across as hot. Honeyed fruit with a very full rounded mouthfeel.
