  • Crispy but mostly also a viscous side with lots of apricot skin and oregano. Could see this being the midpoint between say loire SB and some savory southern Italian white.

  • I'm a noob with natties and this is my first taste of Romorantin, so take those facts into account. With that said, we loved this bottle.

My girl, who loves wine but isn't as obsessive as me, grew up in rural VA between Richmond and Williamsburg and said it has notes of apple pie moonshine. She nailed it. I spent my formative years mostly in the Shenandoah Valley (VA) and have tasted plenty of apple pie moonshine. It tastes of green apple and cinnamon and this really fits the description.

Since this is my first time having Romorantin I'm not sure if that's credit to the varietal, the lack of intervention and natty processes, or both.

Either way, damn this is enjoyable and I will seek out more Romorantin and more from this producer now. High acidity, medium-high body, medium finish which makes sense here. Shout out Ryan from Terroirizer for the rec.
