Cellared since release, lost the battle with the cork which went into bottle, showing tons of caked on bottle sediment. Sometimes these older PS turn into wines like a fine claret, and sometimes like Port...this one is more towards the Port spectrum! Unfortunately this is a hot(not mess) but showing more alc heat than I like...and seems fortified, agitated, and not to my liking. The fruit is still ooze monster...with a VERY high toned acid kick to it...tart raspberry and pomegranate...firm dusty dry tannins...white pepper spice...some nice dried red licorice, chocolate brownie, and violet florals...aged leather and tobacco leaves. The finish is dry with heat. Not a pour down the drain bottle...but nothing like the amazing bottle of 2002 I had a few years ago...a monster of a wine with oodles of complexities...and SO SO soft in texture! That was a wow PS!

Big, hot, burly. Dark purple coloring, magenta rims (appropriate given the label color!). A bit wild and disjointed. Been a few years since I last had a look at this one, and hasn't changed all that much. Will be a long lived wine but not sure it will turn into anything more intellectual. I have one more and will let it lie for a while.

Big, bold wine as expected. Drinking much younger than expected. Not as complex, but a very good wine

Much better then my previous bottle. Decanted for an hour. Wonderful finish, loads of chocolate and some fruit has returned.
