  Flickinger Tasting at The Casino (Chicago, IL): The lighter vintage gives this wine lift, as it is certainly quite structural with its intense acidity and tannin here. Some crunchiness to the red fruit here -- think currants and cranberries -- along with darker leathery elements underneath. A worthwhile wine to age.

  Dark and almost oily. 15% ABV! Huge thick rivulets. Toasty/smoky nose. An immense wine. Not as tannic as you'd expect. Super concentrated but vibrantly acidic. Almost overwhelming. Exciting.
