Community Tasting Notes (19) Avg Score: 91.5 points

  • Easy drinking. Hefig, wattig, jugendlich, schön. Bereits jetzt sehr gut zu trinken. Wird er sich verbesser? Mit 9,5 Prozent Alkohol angenehm leicht. 89-91 Punkte. Bis 2030?! Restzucker: um 20 gramm?! Also nicht gerade wenig, jedoch stimmig. Säure passend u. 7 gramm.

  • WIML92+

    Tasted non blind.

Light yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of petrol, flowers and quince. Flavors of cherries, limes and tangerine. Bright acidity, full bodied. Drink with air or hold.

  • sorry for another note, but every bottle of this just impresses the hell out of me. it's like pouring a bouquet of white flowers: not flashy but "simply" brimming with class, quiet intensity, elegance, and unmarred beauty.

Unlikely to be replicated often in our lifetime.

All 2019 Prum Kabinetten were spectacular but in today's climate, the signature power and concentration from the other vineyards will be easily replicable/maintainable into the future.

I probably shouldn't veer into prognostication, though. People should avoid this little wine. Avoid ALL little wines... avoid them UNLESS they're difficult to acquire.

In which case, you should hoard them to use as palate cleansers for pricey mags of 17% abv plonk ;)

  • The score is based on the CT scale and I am taking into account price, because what you get is sensational for the price. This is no WS, or other GG level wine but it isn't near the price and what it does give you is all the components of the great vineyards, although not quite the length and intensity or subtleties - but that is why they are GG etc. and this isn't. A year on from my last review and a glass in my garden as winter ends, amongst the plum blossoms, was just heaven.
